Join Us Sundays
We are a multi-ethnic, multi-generational church that experiences the presence of God, every week. Come, meet with God and be part of a vibrant, loving community.
10:30am - 12:00pm
What To Expect
We want you to feel comfortable, welcomed, and inspired when you attend our service.
When you come through the doors on a Sunday morning, expect to be warmly greeted with a smile and handshake! Our church is friendly and casual. Before and after the service, you can grab a coffee or tea in the lobby, and even take it with you into the service – or bring your favourite Starbucks or Timmy’s! We want you to feel at home.
When you step into the auditorium, you’ll see some people dressed in shorts and t-shirts, while others are more comfortable in a suit and tie. What you wear really doesn’t matter. You’ll also see people of every age and ethnicity. We are a very diverse congregation, with over 40 nationalities represented on any given Sunday!
You’ll love the music at Horizon. Every service begins with four to six songs, that range from contemporary and energetic to intimate and worshipful. We try to create a mix that reaches our diverse congregation. The service will likely open with high energy, “current” music, but we’ll have probably sung a hymn by the end of the music set. We love music, and believe it is one of the primary ways we express our praise and worship to God. You’ll see some people lifting their hands, people singing, clapping and generally participating in worship. Others are more comfortable in a more relaxed posture. You participate as you feel comfortable!
At the end of worship, children are dismissed to their service (see below) and adults settle in for an approximately 35-minute talk – usually from our lead pastor, Craig. When the service concludes, there is coffee/tea/juice in the lobby for you to enjoy. If you’re new, don’t rush out – we’d love to connect.
Throughout your experience at Horizon, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask one of our Hosts or Welcome Centre volunteers.
We look forward to seeing you!
What About The Kids?
We’ve got a variety of programs for kids of all ages.
All children are checked in to our digital system when families arrive at Horizon. If you are new we would love to help you with this. At the end of our worship time (around 11 am), children 3-12 years old are invited up to the front where we can pray for them and send them out to their classes with their teachers. The children’s ministry is staffed by security-cleared and trained staff and volunteers.
Your kids will have some large group teaching time, and small group time presented in a creative and engaging way. Our goal is to present God’s Word in a way that they can understand and apply – while having a great time! When the adult service is dismissed, you will need to go back to sign your children out.
On Sunday mornings, our nursery opens up at 10:15am and is available throughout the Service for infants to three-year-olds. Simply follow the signs for the nursery, or ask one of our Hosts or someone at the Welcome Centre for directions.
All our nursery workers are security-cleared and trained. Our goal is to provide a safe, positive, and fun church experience for your children – to stimulate their senses and open their eyes to the wonderful world that God has made. Two adult nursery volunteers and two to three young helpers teach, worship, play, and lovingly care for the little ones. We provide a warm and caring environment for children to learn, play, and interact with each other. All our teaching, music, and activities are designed to point your child towards our loving Heavenly Father.

Ordinary Heroes: Gideon
From Series: "Ordinary Heroes"
God needs each one of us to be the hero in the world where God has placed. Our world is changed by ordinary, everyday, fractured, obscure, unknown, unnamed, insecure, messed up people that have allowed themselves to used and transformed by the grace and goodness of Jesus.
